46 SPRING 2019 The Brandon Chamber of Commerce recognized their achievement by awarding Ion Coating the Outstanding New Business Award of 2019, citing the fact the Kirtons "have grown a business that started out of personal need and … has become renowned throughout North America for exceptional show- quality powder and ceramic coating, especially in the world of automotive enthusiasts." Leland Kirton, who has received orders from across Canada and the U.S., was ecstatic to learn the business that had such humble beginnings in his garage had been recognized with the Chamber award. The Kirton brothers take immense pride in their quick responses.
