Walk over the nearby Esplanade Riel bridge and switch gears to French — this is St. Boniface, Winnipeg's French Quarter. Tour the historic sites this area of Winnipeg has to offer, including the Saint Boniface Cathedral and La Maison Gabrielle Roy. An eight-kilometre, self-guided tour is also available from Routes on the Red. Stop for lunch at one of the trendy eateries in the area. After lunch, tour the Winnipeg Art Gallery, which houses the world's largest public collection of Inuit art. Try your luck at one of Winnipeg's two themed casinos — Club Regent or McPhillips Station. Both offer meal options ranging from a quick snack to fine dining. DAY 2 Start your day with a trip to the Assiniboine Park Zoo, home to the International Polar Bear Conservation Centre, part of the upcoming Journey to Churchill exhibit. Bid the animals adieu and explore the rest of Assiniboine Park with a visit to the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden and the Pavilion Gallery Museum. Enjoy a unique indoor/outdoor dining experience with lunch at Terrace Fifty-Five. Learn how coins are made with an interactive tour of the Royal Canadian Mint. Stop in the boutique for Canadian-inspired gifts and collector coins. For a fine dining experience with a local flare, choose a restaurant in the Exchange District or Osborne Village, where chefs create their menus with Manitoba ingredients. Finish your night by catching a play at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre or Rainbow Stage, taking in a performance by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, or watching one of Canada's cultural treasures, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet. DAY 3 Spend the morning learning about the mysteries hidden in plain sight on the Hermetic Code Tour of the Manitoba Legislative Building. Grab lunch at one of Winnipeg's great restaurants and then spend the rest of your afternoon being pampered at a luxurious spa. In the evening hop aboard the Paddlewheel Riverboat and cruise the shores of the Red River.
