through to the lake bottom nearly 12
feet below. Not surprisingly, that makes
it a perfect spot to go casting for trophysized lake trout, northern pike and
whitefish. Stroll barefoot through white
sand beaches, take a self-guided trail
through coniferous forest and spruce
bog, or explore "the caves" — dolomite
rock crevices so deep you can sometimes
see snow in summer. Pick flowers and
wildberries, go birding and wildlife-
