SPEAKING OF KITCHENS,
WE'RE STILL SEEING A LOT
OF CLASSIC WHITE, GREY
AND GREIGE — YES, GREIGE
IS OFFICIALLY A THING —
BUT BOLD HAS DEFINITELY
TAKEN HOLD, WITH
METALLICS AND DRAMATIC
BLACK FOR WALLS,
CABINETRY AND HARDWARE.
Along with the latest upgrades in
energy-efficient mechanical systems
and construction techniques, builders
are showing what they can do with
a surprisingly eclectic range of
materials, from natural stone and
wood to high-tech composites.
Trend-watchers will note that
traditional brick looks have made
a comeback on exteriors and on
interior feature walls and fireplaces.
And while ultra-glossy cabinetry is
in vogue, you'll find it paired with
warming wood accents and flooring
in designer kitchens. Speaking of
kitchens, we're still seeing a lot of
classic white, grey and greige — yes,
greige is officially a thing — but
bold has definitely taken hold, with
metallics and dramatic black for walls,
cabinetry and hardware.
