Across the room in the dining area, there's another cool
feature — a bar with built-in wine rack and beverage
fridge, set behind a half-wall decked with horizontal
wood slats. Its quartz countertop and glossy white
thermofoil cabinetry are carry-overs from the kitchen,
where glossy and wood-look thermofoil combine for a
two-tone look that's all the rage these days.
Head upstairs and there's a lot more drama in the
master bedroom. Vertical wood slats stand out
against a black wall, creating a headboard for the
built-in platform bed, which is outfitted with LED
underlighting. The vertical and platform themes are
carried through to the massive en suite. A black-and-
white stand-alone bathtub is set on a low platform,
with a feature strip of dark tile running underneath the
tub and up the rear wall.
