This holiday season, although different I'm sure than last, with fewer people gathering, office parties a no-go and families hosting virtual get-togethers, perhaps adding in peace is more possible. Since the beginning of this pandemic, there has been an increased highlighting on all things that make us feel good, and that will be especially true this season. Although small in measure compared to hugging your granny or clinking glasses with your Uncle Kerry, from comfortable lounge wear to hot tea; from enjoying foods that remind us of home to supporting local enterprise, strict instructions this season are simpleā€¦ Do more of what feels good. Support makers! Whether curbisde or delivered to your door, this year, there is also a bigger sense of urgency to support the businesses we love. And though it may not be as convenient as some of the giant online options, it's really necessary for the soul of our city. Like drinking coffee from a handmade mug or buying a piece of jewellery from a Winnipeg owned shop who cross promotes local eateries. I feel very fortunate to work with Winnipeg's best businesses. It affords me the chance to get to know the many families behind the scenes. This season count your blessings and do everything comfortable.
