16 Your Guide to Investors Group Field WINNIPEG HEAD CHEF PLANS TO COOK UP A STORM FOR FANS When it comes to feeding hungry Blue Bomber players and fans at Investors Group Field, it's good to have a Winnipeg born and raised executive chef in our corner. "I'm one of those chefs who lives and breathes it," said Masserey, now 52. 'I WAKE UP EVERY MORNING EXCITED ABOUT GOING TO WORK AND EXCITED ABOUT MAKING NEW RECIPES.' "I wake up every morning excited about going to work and excited about making new recipes," he said. "All it takes is one person to come up to me and say, 'That was the best hamburger or steak I've ever had', and they just make my week. Those are the things I live off of." In his role as head chef, Masserey said he loves the challenge of creating food for concessions, club restaurants and private suites at Investors Group Field as well as feeding hungry Winnipeg Blue Bomber players and their team of hungry fans. Prior to starting with Ovations at Canad Inns Stadium in May 2012, Masserey worked at Rossmere Country Club as executive chef, and as a corporate chef for the Genesis Group where he oversaw the food services of six hotels, including the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg and others around Manitoba and Ontario.
