In the 49th Grey Cup in 1961, he scored one of the most memorable touchdowns in professional football history, eluding numerous defenders on an 18-yard run into the end zone during overtime to win. Brown was named as the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian in his first year playing for the Bombers as defensive tackle in 2001. Despite being one of the oldest players in the CFL, Brown continued to excel during the 2010 Winnipeg Blue Bombers season. He finished with his seventh CFL all-star nod that year. Poplawski, a receiver, was selected to the all-star team five times. He helped the Bombers win the 72nd Grey Cup in 1984 with five catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. At the age of 29, he ended his career with 8,341 receiving yards on 549 receptions and 48 touchdowns. "All four are equally great on and off the field and are true ambassadors of our football club," said Bannon. "They always take extra time to sign every autograph, shake every hand and, to this day, continue to bleed blue and gold in support of our team and community. They love their fans and, clearly, the fans still love them, too.
