18 Your Guide to Investors Group Field SPICE UP YOUR GAME, MANITOBA STYLE For local favourite, Burrito Splendido, it is all about using the finest, freshest ingredients Manitoba has to offer so watch for them to spice up your next Bomber game. "With a permanent kiosk at Investors Group Field, we're excited to showcase our Manitoba pork, chicken, beef and even our fish tacos made fresh from Lake Winnipeg pickerel," said owner Ken Livingstone. Wherever possible, Livingstone said that he sources locally, including tortillas that are made from organic Manitoba white or whole wheat flour. "They're pressed fresh right in front of you then grilled so it doesn't get much fresher than that." 'I'M VERY, VERY EXCITED TO BE INVOLVED AT THE NEW STADIUM.' The Burrito Splendido kiosk will offer fans four styles of hearty burritos that will include adobo chicken, carnitas pork, a larger-format barbacoa beef burrito that will sport a Bomber-related name, and even a tofu version for vegetarians. "That's for Sir Paul when he comes by," said Livingstone, referring to Paul McCartney who will play the new stadium this summer. Livingstone can't wait to take his spot on the concourse at Investors Group Field. "I'm very, very excited to be involved at the new stadium," he said. "I'm probably going to hog all the shifts there for myself," he added with a chuckle. Livingstone opened the first Burrito Splendido on Portage Avenue last November and is planning to open a second location in the city, in addition to the stadium kiosk.
