LEAVE A LEGACY
Charitable Bequest
A bequest in your Will allows you to
make a generous contribution to a
charity that you may not have been
able to afford during your lifetime.
The amount of your bequest is 100%
deductible against your income in
the year of your death and can be
credited against income in the year
prior to death, thus reducing your
estate's tax burden.
Gifts of Life Insurance
When you donate a life insurance
policy, you are providing a
substantial future gift for Habitat for
Humanity Manitoba. Your regular
monthly payments toward a life
insurance policy over several years
is multiplied into a much larger
financial contribution in the future.
Gifts of Retirement Plan Funds
Making Habitat for Humanity
Manitoba a primary or co-beneficiary
of your registered retirement savings
plan (RRSP) or registered retirement
income fund (RRIF) will enable you to
support Habitat Manitoba and reduce
the amount of taxes that your estate
would otherwise have to pay.
