Just like fall fashion, colour trends come and go.
But one rule of thumb when adding new hues to
your home during the chilly months is to keep
things on the warmer side in fall and the cooler
side in winter. Burnt orange, olive green, mustard
yellow and burgundy are autumn favourites.
"Selecting one or two warm fall colours and
then pairing it with some off-white neutrals
can provide a great combination for a cozy
environment," Kosman says.
Crisp blues and greens will be more popular
once the snow falls.
"Try balancing the cool tone colours with some
warm tone accents and even textures."
Bottom line: don't be afraid of a little colour.
"Having an inviting space which embraces
the current season can create a more positive
environment, especially for guests who come to
