COUNTRY CHARMER
— Cont'd from page 47
Out back, a big glass-enclosed upper
deck runs from the primary bedroom
to the dining area. It serves as a cover
for a patio below, accessible from the
bright walkout basement.
The dropped foyer at the front of
the house has bench seating and
a double closet. Walk up two stairs
and turn left to enter the open main
living area, or walk straight ahead
to a three-piece family bathroom at
the far end of a hallway that's hidden
behind the kitchen. On the way, you'll
pass the combination mudroom and
laundry room off the garage entry,
just past the flex room.
A completed secondary bedroom
faces the street on one side of the
family bathroom. On the other
side, a mini hallway leads to the
more secluded primary bedroom.
It's the main event back there, and
it is appropriately outfitted with a
large walk-in closet and an en suite
with built-in shelving, a double-sink
vanity and a glass-and-tile shower.
In accordance with the most current
design trend, there is no stand-alone
bathtub in the en suite.
The great room also some unique
features, most notably in the
wallpapered entertainment unit. It's
a recessed nook with a chic lighting
fixture above, coffee-table height
cabinets below and a flatscreen TV
set placed side-by-side with the
fireplace in the centre.
