In 2020, some TV chefs began working at home with portable
induction cooktops. That way, they didn't have to turn away from

from Salton Canada (salton.com) runs about $120, and it has a
whole range of potential benefits for students, seniors and cottagers.
They're more efficient than a regular cooktop, taking just a few
minutes to boil a pot of water. They're cool to the touch, except
where a pan touches the cooktop, and they can be set to turn off
automatically. One or two can replace a traditional stovetop in a
