Coloniza on, economic apartheid and systems such as residen al schools, day schools, the '60s Scoop and the child welfare system, along with the na onal emergency of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, two-spirit and gender-diverse people (MMIWG2S+), have all contributed to this intergenera onal trauma.
