The company also offers sewage treatment and rubber surfacing products. "I believe that if you can think it, then it's possible," Leatt says. "I'm a great believer in thinking outside of the box and that when an opportunity presents itself, don't shy away—give it your all." In 2019, Leatt was working in the publishing industry when he and his colleagues moved from a central office to each working from home. In early 2020, Leatt's home office flooded during a storm. During the renovations that followed, Leatt met Brent Poole, an experienced contractor. The two hit it off and started talking about the importance of air quality. "He had some crazy ideas, and I had some crazy ideas, and we thought, 'We should open a company that focuses on air purification,'" Leatt recalls. Leatt and Poole decided to go into business together, and BGP was born. Then the COVID-19 pandemic reached Manitoba, bringing the concept of air quality and purification to the forefront of everyone's minds.
