LANGILL FARM
Langill Farm is a major new development that will further
enhance the already-bustling Steinbach community.
Named for one of the original settlers in the area, Langill Farm is becoming a
77-acre mixed-use community by Agassiz Shore Developments, a sister company
to Penn-co Construction, on the northwestern edge of the Eastman city.
e're basically a Steinbach
company borne out of
Blumenort, where Penn-co
originated, and we wanted to
continue our roots in the area," says
Dan Bickerton, vice-president of
Penn-co Construction.
"We needed a different office and
we thought, 'What better way to
lay down roots in the community
for good and build our perma-
nent office in Steinbach?' And
that organically grew into a sister
company called Agassiz Shore
Developments."
Bickerton and Penn-co president
Dan Reimer had a vision about
the project long ago.
"We sought out some property
that was suitable for our office.
We always had an idea in the
back of our minds that we would
like to do some subdivision work,"
Bickerton says. "So the two played
hand-in-hand. We purchased a
plot of land and built our office,
and then we began planning the
subdivision."
