the province's most energy-
efficient dwellings for new
homeowners.

Most people keep a close eye on their energy bills.
But those who are brand new to homeownership
may have no idea how much it costs to heat, cool
and otherwise run their home.
Families moving into a new home built by Habitat
for Humanity Manitoba don't need to worry. The
non-profit housing organization is so committed
to energy efficiency and ensuring families are
successful, it makes sure to keep the homes' energy
bills extremely low.
Habitat operates on the belief that everyone
deserves a safe and decent place to live, and mobi-
lizes communities to help low-income working fami-
lies build strength, stability and self-reliance through
affordable homeownership. Habitat Manitoba has
helped more than 500 families in the province plus
in Kenora, Ont., with help from its volunteers, donors
and community partners.
