Backed by the award-winning Canada's Heart is Calling
brand, collaborative industry partners and an array of
transformative demand-generating visitor experiences,
tourism is a powerful opportunity to bolster our cities,
towns and communities. Our vision for the tourism industry
is to double visitor spending by 2030. The Manitoba Tourism
Strategy is our roadmap, recognizing Manitoba as a must-
visit, four season destination and building on touism's ability
to provide greater economic benefits, creating more jobs
and improving quality of life for all Manitobans throughout
the province.
Whenever we go somewhere in Manitoba, it's almost always
a tourism experience.
Tourism is a vast industry that touches every corner of
our province, and it's filled with people who are devoted to
creating amazing experiences—whether it's maintaining our
parks, running our attractions, operating our hotels, games,
concerts, museums, restaurants—or anything in between.
From the way a walk around the park can lift our mood,
a family trip can bring us closer together or a cultural
experience can teach us new perspectives and ways of
being, it's all tourism.
All of these things—including a $1.8 billion contribution
to the economy—we owe to tourism.
