"Being in a family business is really great. There's lots of
challenges with that, but the great part is that I have a lot of
resources in the people around me that I know and I trust,"
she says.
"We know each other and we know our strengths and our
weaknesses, so one is able to help the other out and that
works out really well."
"It's just more of a welcoming experience."
An ability to relate to customers helps them relax
and open up. It's important that they feel they
can talk freely, since they'll be working with the
builder for many months on their new custom
home, which is a huge milestone in their lives.
Snow meets with customers to help them design their
home and choose features that are important to them. She
says that one-on-one collaboration with clients is an area
where women are especially strong because they come at
it from a more personal angle.
"The thing that I really like the best is when we
hand over the keys on possession day and the
customer is happy," Snow says. "I feel really grateful that someone would trust us with that and
that we would be able to accomplish their dream
for them."
"When I'm with customers in a meeting, it's just a little bit
more of a conversation. The walls can be broken down a
bit," she says.
Warkentin Homes has two show homes turned
out for the Fall Parade of Homes, both located on
beautiful properties.
