"To open it, you just have to touch
its bottom edge. To close it, you
simply touch a switch on the cabinet's inside edge.
We put it in the home because it's a cool product. Of
course it looks great, but just as important, the doors
open up and out of the way. That gives you the best
of both worlds – style and function," Swan says.
"you always have to contemplate an idea's function-
ality. Even though something might look good, that
doesn't mean a thing if it doesn't work well in real
life," he says. "a home has to be livable for people to
enjoy living in it day in and day out. it's simply no
good if a different idea isn't practical."
