The organization is committed to developing a strong, more unifi ed network to bring greater value to the business community. And it will strengthen its internal organization and create more opportunities for members to participate in policy development and networking events. The weekend was one of renewal, and confi rmation from the business community that MCC is moving in the right direction. For MCC president and CEO Chuck Davidson, who was named to his position at last year's AGM, the message and direction is clear. "The steps our organization took in the past 12 months were not easy, but we come out the other side more focused and determined to make Manitoba a more competitive place to do business," Davidson said. "We have a mandate from our board and our members to address the issues facing Manitoba business; now we must fi nd ways to work with government to fi nd solutions to those issues."
