He has helped many older adults with tax and estate planning. When the odd moment occurs that he is not doing finances, he loves to see the world and to find what connects people to each other. 11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Changes to Winnipeg Transit – Centennial 4 Room Josie Fernandes, Manager of Client Services for Winnipeg Transit along with Te- resa Platt, Supervisor of Registration and Assessments for Handi-Transit and Dan Robert, Operations Supervisor for Handi-Transit will provide a panel discussion on changes to Winnipeg Transit. Noon – 12:30 p.m.: Lunch/Visit trade show exhibitors AFTERNOON SESSIONS: 1 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. What Manitoba Tenants Need to Know – Centennial 3 Room Kelly Harrison, Program Administrator and Client Services Officer for Residential Tenancies Branch, joined the Residential Tenancies Branch in 2012. Having served as Acting Executive Director for a local charitable organization, Kelly special- izes in crisis management and conflict resolution. In her current position, Kelly delivers clear, concise information on navigating Residential Tenancies. Kelly is passionate about advocating for vulnerable people and served as a long-standing board member for the National Network for Mental Health. In her spare time, Kelly enjoys photography and spending time outdoors. 1 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Aging in Place in My Own Home – Centennial 4 Room Anand Mishra is the Senior Research Advisor for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation for the Prairies and the Territories. He is responsible for managing regionally-based research projects and for making CMHC's housing research find- ings available to stakeholders. Mishra has worked as a Civil Engineer in Thailand, Singapore and India. In addition, he holds a Master of Business Administration Degree and a Bachelor of Technology Degree. 2 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. Fixed Route Information Session – Centennial 3 Room Ernie Hnatiuk has been with Winnipeg Transit for over 21 years. His career start- ed as a bus operator, a position he worked in for 12 years. Since then, he has held several positions, including Winnipeg Transit Travel Trainer for the last two years. 2 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. Handling the Housing Market – Centennial 4 Room Silvia Visintin is the Housing Program Co-ordinator for the housing program at A & O: Support Services for Older Adults. Silvia will provide valuable information on negotiating the wealth of information that exists for those searching for a new place to live or who want more information on what their options are. A variety of exhibitors will be on hand to answer your questions on various topics such as: what assisted living can provide, selling homes, life leases, downsizing and government services. There will also be in- formation on support and lifestyle services that help keep older adults independent for as long as possible, including caregiver services, financial services, subsidized hous- ing and more. Some of the comments made from the exhibitors we surveyed last year in- clude: "Absolutely wowed by both the num- ber and the quality of visitors – never even got to walk around to see who else is here!" "This year's participation was exceptional. Had good interactions with visitors to my booth." and "Good value, good exposure from people truly looking for answers and services."
