NEW THIS YEAR: ABORIGINAL DAY LIVE & CELEBRATION CULTURAL STAGES 11:30 A.M. – 5 P.M. INUIT PAVILION A sampling of Nunavut's finest arts, crafts, traditional dance and song performances. Visit the Winnipeg Art Gallery tent. Create your very own Inuit art print utilizing fun techniques of artists Andrew Qappik, contributor to the Coat of Arms of Nunavut. Learn how to engrave your image, apply your ink and stamp your creations. FIRST NATIONS PAVILION It's all about regalia, intricate beadwork, crafts, traditional cuisine and entertainment. Build your own mini tipi with The Manitoba Museum! The First Nations Pavilion will take you on a journey of rich tales and cultural experiences that have influenced First Nations and their People. MÉTIS PAVILION Your toes will be tapping with the lively entertainment presented at the Métis Pavilion! Learn basic finger weaving techniques with staff from the Saint-Boniface Museum or join in on the jigging. You'll be happy you came to experience the Métis culture! Located in each of the pavilions is a mini stage. Join us as each stage features entertainers from a variety of Aboriginal backgrounds.
