The tropical-themed Club Regent Casino's Event Centre is one of the city's hottest concert venues. In October alone, it features The Doobie Brothers, Boz Scaggs, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and the Western Canadian Music Awards. Club Regent's Toukie's Lounge is a destination in itself, with a gaming area, HDTVs for sports lovers and an enticing menu for foodies, and there's a buffet restaurant and adjoining hotel for stay-and-play guests. McPhillips Station Casino plays on a 19th-century railway theme and it's about to become a travel destination when an adjacent Canad Inns Hotel is complete. Cruise the lavish buffet at Michele's Restaurant and catch a game at the Upperdeck Sports Bar. Along with more than 60 HDTVs for sports fans, the Shark Club (www.sharkclubs.com) has 140 slot machines, as well as blackjack and roulette tables. Cruise up Hwy 59 north of Winnipeg and check into the hotel at South Beach Casino (www.southbeachcasino.ca) for a tropical getaway. Along with table games and 600 slot machines, the complex has a spa, tropical pool and indoor waterfall, with plenty of fabulous dining options. Adjacent to The Pas, Aseneskak Casino (www.aseneskak.ca) at Opaskwayak Cree Nation is a gateway to some of the province's best hunting and fishing spots. Play slots and table games, take in live entertainment in the lounge and enjoy your stay at one of the North's finest hotels, the Kikiwak Inn. Sand Hills Casino (www.sandhillscasino.com) is Manitoba's newest gaming centre, with 350 slots, table games, a buffet restaurant and lounge just west of Spruce Woods Provincial Park in Carberry.
