In his younger years, Antonio cotroneo began building houses in his hometown of San roberto, Italy. After he moved to canada, he con- tinued with the trade and eventually passed his knowledge on to his sons. Over the years, he brought his four boys — Frank, tony, enzo and Gino — to job sites with him on the weekends. "We picked up a lot of trades information and we'd help him. He'd be doing bricks or a tile job, and we would be hands-on learning how to make cement and how to do the grout and different things like that," Frank recalls. "So instead of going to the park when we were young- er, we would hang out with my dad. He definitely knows a lot about the building industry. He inspired us with the quality of work that he did and the pride that he took in the construction." the brothers were so motivated by their dad's dexter- ity that they launched their own company, Artista Homes, in 2000. to add to the family connections, their cousins operate Gino's Homes, A&S Homes and KDS Homes. "everyone has it in their blood, I guess. It's great to work with my brothers. We get along really well. When it's family, we're all pushing in the same direction," Frank says, adding that brother-in-law Fabio Imbrogno is also heavily involved in Artista Homes.
