"We tried to take nature into consideration
when we built this house. You can look from
the large windows onto mature trees in the
backyard," Snow says.
"It's got a gourmet entertainer's kitchen with
a big island and spacious eating area. The
kitchen cabinetry is rift-cut oak, which lends
itself to a more modern look with a very lin-
ear grain. It's got granite countertops and
maple plank flooring, plus a gas fireplace and
entertainment units."
To accommodate other visions, Warkentin
Homes works closely with clients to custom-
ize houses.
"We design them and put in the features that
the customer chooses. They could put these
same features in their home or they could
work with our interior designer to put in oth-
er features that they would like," Snow says.
"We definitely work one on one with them,
all the way from our sales staff to the interior
designer. We have floor plans available that
people can use or modify. We also have ar-
chitects who can start from scratch to design
something based on whatever ideas the cus-
tomer has."
