Yet another reason for Sage Creek's appeal is its in- credible range of housing options: including starter homes, condos, family homes, townhouses and even million-dollar custom-builds. There's virtually every type and style of home to choose from. The courtyard home is another option that's com- ing into its own at Sage Creek, says Debra Mosher of Broadview Homes. "We see people from all walks of life choosing them, because with less yard mainte- nance, they can create the ideal lifestyle." Broadview Homes currently offers two courtyard plans, each with an attached garage at the back of the property. "That's what makes them a courtyard home. You still have a good-sized yard that's completely landscaped in the front, back and side courtyard. There are double doors that lead out into a very handy deck on the side of the house, and there's even a small green space if you have kids, or a little dog," says Mosher. "Everything is done when you move in." M o s h e r has other i n s i g h t s into this b u i l d i n g a p p r o a c h . "Esthetical- ly, having a rear garage has a big impact on the overall space. The interior of these homes is very open, modern and spacious, the flow is amazing, and there are tons of windows!" she explains. "This also gives them a lot of curb appeal because the exterior is really attractive too." Outdoors, a courtyard space can be customized to be as care-free or as highly-detailed as you like. "At Sage Creek there are really so many options," says Mosher. "It all depends on your lifestyle and per- sonal taste." >> "We understand that there's a very wide range of homeowners today," says Eric Vogan of Qualico Communities. "At Sage Creek we have young professionals and grow- ing families, but we also see maturing families and empty-nesters that are finding a place for themselves here." That's because the goal from the planning stage has been to appeal to a very diverse market. Vogan says convenience plays a big role in buyers choosing this popular neighbour- hood. Located just off Lagimodiere Boulevard, Sage Creek offers easy access to major routes that take drivers quickly to other parts of the city, or right out of town. On the way home, or within walking distance residents have access to a Sobeys, two banks, a dentist and a veterinarian. "Shoppers Drug Mart will be joining us, a Liquor Mart, new sushi and Italian restaurants, plus other businesses are still to come," says Vogan. "What I can tell you is that residents will be very pleased!" A new early-learning to Grade 8 school is also under development in Sage Creek, with room for 450-600 students, and 141 day care spaces. Qualico Communities has installed an outdoor basketball court, and the residents association is fundraising to create a unique playground adjacent to the school. With its emphasis on outdoor living, throughout the year residents in Sage Creek can focus on staying active, whether it's spending time strolling, jogging or biking around the many paths and trails that are featured throughout the neighbourhood, taking ad- vantage of the cross-country ski trail in the winter months, or appreciating the native grasses and wetlands. In fact, Sage Creek receives many accolades, and not just from residents, but environmental organizations as well. "Native Plant Solutions has noted that Sage Creek now has more native grasses among its plantings than any other neighbourhood in Western Canada," says Vogan. "It's part of our commit- ment to sustainability. Prairie plants are beautiful and they also are an earth- friendly choice. It's something that the whole community can be proud of." 736 Sage Creek Blvd. Broadview Courtyard home Broadview Homes – 55 Diamond Dust Dr. Sage Creek: Homes built for tHe way you live today For Qualico Communities 108 Parade of Homes Spring 2015
