Since 1978, the family-run company has built just 15 to 20 homes per year for one simple reason, says Hearth Homes sales manager Liam Milne. "If your volume is smaller, it gives you that much more time to pay attention to the little touches that make a home special. Our goal with every home we build is to personalize its design for our clients. Building fewer homes gives us the time to do that." For owner Rob Wickstrom, his two sons Matt and Adam, Milne and all the other staff at Hearth Homes, designing a home is a collaborative effort. Everyone has input into designs, as even a small idea can make a huge difference to the final product. Next, staff members work closely with clients to ensure that design meets their every requirement — and to make sure the entire building experience is a posi- tive one for home buyers. "The reality is that we're building peo- ple's dream homes," Milne says. "We try to make the building process as fun as pos- sible for our clients. Building your dream home should be a joyful experience, not a painful one." Whatever it takes to make the process stress-free, staff are more than willing to go the extra mile for clients. Should prob- lems crop up after the possession date, they are addressed in short order. "Things don't always go perfectly with homes; we know that from experience. In most cases, we'll get back to clients in a day or two, and get out to their home as fast as we can to solve the problem," Milne says. "At Hearth Homes, we're there with you every step of the way. You can count on great customer service — and a fun ex- perience — from start to finish."
