MIDWIFERY SESSIONAL INSTRUCTOR CULTURAL SAFETY IN HEALTH CARE FOR DIVERSE POPULATIONS CAREERS For George MacLean, Assiniboine Community College School of Trades & Technology dean, inclusion and diversity is very important for his college to experience. "We have a First Nations student services adviser, we recruit actively from in the First Nations community and we have many high schools that tour our campus," said MacLean. Trades are broken up into two groups: the construction trades and mechanical trades. Carpentry is currently being offered in Dauphin. Plans in the future include looking at a heavy duty equipment technician program in perhaps two northern communities. A plumbers program is also being looked at and there are future plans to start an electrical trades program if there is demand.
