Do you plan to do some golfing this summer? Can you clear your calendar for 40 rounds at some of Manitoba's finest courses? To help celebrate its 100th anniversary, Golf Manitoba is holding a fundraising raf- fle, and up for grabs are a couple of fantastic prizes with a combined value of $13,000. One lucky ticket-holder will receive the ultimate Manitoba golf experience, valued at approximately $10,000. This incredible grand prize includes a tee-time for four players and the use of two power carts at 40 Manitoba golf clubs. This is a once-in-a- lifetime opportunity to check out some of the province's finest courses—from Assini- boine to Winkler—and enjoy the unique challenges that they each present. The winner of the early bird draw will take home a complete set of Titleist clubs, including eight irons, two sand wedges, three woods, a putter and a carry bag. This beautiful set is worth $3,000 and is sure to give you years of satisfying play. Your participation in Golf Manitoba's an- niversary raffle will directly affect the future of the game in Manitoba and Northwest- ern Ontario through several important initiatives. Fifty per cent of net proceeds from the raffle will go to Golf Manitoba program- ming, such as Golf in Schools Kits and Programs, the 100th Anniversary Celebra- tion, and annual Training Squad Programs, which prepare talented young athletes for Manitoba, Western Canada and Canada Summer Games. A contribution will also be made to the PGA of Manitoba to assist with their development programming and to enhance the provincial championships. As well, the Manitoba Golf Scholarship Fund will receive 20 per cent (of net pro- ceeds) to assist with scholarships to young golfers pursuing post-secondary education in Canada. A further 20 per cent will go to the University of Manitoba Bison Golf Team to assist with their annual programming. The remaining 10 per cent of proceeds from ticket sales will be awarded as a sell- er's prize to the 2015 member club, facility or group (in good standing with Golf Mani- toba) that the grand prize winning ticket holder denotes on their ticket. Tickets can be purchased for $50 each, but there are only 3,000 available, so get yours soon. Early bird and grand prize draws will take place on June 30 and August 14, respectively, at the Sport for Life Centre on Pacific Avenue.
