"Now that the area has come of age, it has a lot more to offer. With everything that's come on line — and that's due to come on line in the near future — people are now wanting to move here." Debra Mosher, Broadview Homes' sales representative for Sage Creek, can confirm that theory. "i not only sell homes in Sage Creek, but also live there, so i can say that i'm honestly bowled over by how beautiful the neighbourhood is," she says. "i've lived here for five years, and have seen the wetlands, flora and fauna and trails burst out in natural glory more and more every year. it's a beautiful, walk- able community, and will just get more gorgeous as the years progress." The commercial area at the community's entrance is another reason for the area's growing popularity. "Sage Creek now has a full complement of amenities — a veterinarian, drug store (Shoppers Drug Mart), two banks (TD and RBC), Tim Hortons, Shell station with convenience store and, of course, Sobeys. Two more restaurants are due to open in the near future, as well. and we can't forget that there's a K-8 school due to open sometime in 2016. it's going to be a huge asset." Saltel says the new school has proven to be a major selling point for the community. "Many young families are choosing to move here because of it," he says. "it will put a nice finishing touch on the area, which is also quite affordable. it also offers a wide range of housing, from condos and entry-level homes to high-end abodes. For example, a two-storey Randall Homes show home at 67 John Pelland Rd., is tailor-made for busy families, with mud room and walk-through pantry to the large kitchen, three bedrooms with an ensuite and two walk-in closets in the mas- ter, and a unique exterior with multiple shed-style roofs. On the bungalow front, the Hearth Homes' walkout at 33 east Plains Dr., is roomy and fully loaded, with hickory hardwood floors on the main level and a unique wood-look tile feature wall on the completed lower level, which has a lounge and bar area as well as two bedrooms and an exercise room. Open concepts and great rooms are pretty much standard in show homes that are built for comfortable entertaining, and Saltel notes that the neighbourhood has developed a real community spirit.
