When asked why families continue to look closely at Sage Creek, Dave Wooden agrees that the new school increases the desirability of the community. "Number one, there is a new school under construction in the neighbourhood, and that's always huge," he explains. "Number two are the new amenities that continue to pop up: Sobeys, Shoppers, Tim Hortons, MLCC, Sage Creek Dental… you're benefiting from a wide variety of shops and services, a convenience not typically found in newer communities." For residents who moved to the area for the amenities, many more are coming soon. Construction is wrapping up on some exciting new commercial spaces, which will house new res- taurants and shops. Best of all, they are all within walking or biking distance from every corner of the community. "it's a very livable neighbourhood, in part because of the walk- ing trails and the grasslands," Wooden explains. "The scenery is striking and the trails promote active living and community. On top of that, there are ball diamonds, a basketball court and playgrounds… it's become a neighbourhood able to provide everything people want."
