The company began in 1977 as a tile distributor and later branched out into flooring and countertops. in 2013, Jeremy and Lindy grace Mathison bought the company, which specializes in tile distribution and in fabrication and installation of solid surface countertops. They left no stone unturned as they searched for ways to streamline processes for their durable granite, quartz and marble products. "Since we took over, we've become an industry leader in transforming the stone fabrication process with the adoption of cutting-edge technologies," Mathison says. "The warehouse is now digitally automated. in 2014, we invested in really advanced machinery that cuts and polishes granite and quartz a lot faster than doing it manually. These changes have drastically increased our production capacity and efficiency, all while reducing our environmental footprint." after introducing this digital system, their production capacity increased al- most three-fold. They strive for constant innovation, with a commitment to continuous research and development. at the same time, they continue to invest in the latest equipment and initiate new ideas for products and services based on feed- back from their customers and staff. "Over the last two years, we've invested close to $2 million in new types of tech- nology, equipment and training. We're now able to bring in more business to the company, which grew over the past two years significantly." They now use digital templates rather than cardboard, and they offer 3-D renderings of projects to customers. They can also cut granite to allow the natural flow and pattern of the stone to remain in one piece. With a commitment to the environment, they installed an advanced water filtra- tion system, which has resulted in an 80% reduction in water usage. "any granite or quartz particles and resi- dues created through the cutting pro- cesses are reused in cement," Mathison adds. "We're reusing it all."
