Goodlands Turtle Mountain Coal Mines was the site of Manitoba's only commercial coal mines, from 1883 to 1945. See a 1909 church and the former McConnell railway station. Open during July and August by appointment. The ruts of the trail used by the Boundary Commission when re-plotting the 49th parallel in 1872-73 are still visible on a nearby farm. The municipal heritage site has been completely refurnished and is open to the public.
