I t's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, with no shortage of festive events coming up on the holiday horizon. If you're looking to make some memories with friends and family, consider these outings. Don Amero and friends return with the annual Amero Little Christmas at the West End Cultural Centre on December 5. "We all know there's something magical about Christmas and my hope is to capture some of that and put it into a show," explains Amero. Audiences can expect great music, lots of laughs, inspiring stories, and fun videos. Tickets for Amero Little Christmas are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. On December 7, William Prince is set to release his debut album at the West End Cultural Centre, produced by longtime collaborator Scott Nolan. From Peguis First Nation, Prince is a singer/songwriter and storyteller with captivating baritone vocals that pay tribute to his late father, gospel musician Ed Prince. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. How's about dinner and a Christmas movie? The Metropolitan Entertainment Centre is celebrating the holidays with movie nights on December 20 (Miracle on 34th Street) and December 22 (It's A Wonderful Life). Tickets are $35 and include a buffet dinner, and popcorn. Ring in the New Year at the annual Forks Family New Year's Eve event on December 31. Free festivities include activities at the Arctic Glacier Winter Park, horse-drawn wagon rides, kids' art, and face painting. Live entertainment begins on the Main Stage at 5:00pm, and fireworks kick-off at 8:00pm. Merry Christmas! Don Amero
