Indulge your whimsical side for a mere $38. 3) Music lovers are embracing the return of vinyl, and a kitschy cool record player makes a groovy secondary component. Available at McNally Robinson Booksellers (mcnallyrobinson.com), for about $130, the Vinyl Styl Groove Portable Turntable has two full-range stereo speakers, a headphone output jack and an AC power adapter. Plays at three speeds, 33 1/3, 45 & 78 RPM. 5) You want to show off your record collection and protect it the same time. What to do? Hello! Stash the vinyl in a safe place and hang record cover art separately. Get two 12x12 album frames for $25 from Urban Outfitters (urbanoutfitters.com). Includes hardware for mounting. 4) You'll be sitting pretty in this 33.5-inch high tub chair from EQ3 (eq3.com). The seat is 20 inches deep and it's nice and snug, with 16.5-inch high arms. The price is a bit steep too, at $799, but it's what you call an investment piece. 6) A spacious foyer is a must, ideally one that has a place to sit while you lace up your Sorels. Get your mitts on this $450 Holton storage bench from Pier 1 Imports (pier1.ca), and you'll have a place to stash your toque too.
