Learn more about us at Camp Wasaga offers relaxing family vacation Y ou know the best part about Camp Wasaga? It makes family vacation an actual vacation. Located in Riding Mountain National Park, Camp Wasaga is a family camp that lets families spend time together in nature, without the stress — no cooking, no worrying about keeping the kids busy, and some actual down-time for mom and dad. Camp Wasaga is located on the shores of beautiful Clear Lake. The large property offers kids plenty of room to safely roam. There are three delicious meals, plus snacks, provided daily, and no cooking and minimal clean up. Each morning, kids head off to program where they learn about nature, play games and make friends. Parents can choose to participate in adult program — usually a hike with the camp's resident naturalist or a canoe on Clear Lake — or do their own thing, such as relaxing with a good book, grabbing a coffee and exploring the nearby towns or playing a round of golf. Why let your kids have all the fun? After lunch it's family time! Families can choose to participate in games and activities, go for a supervised swim, explore the park or just relax. After dinner, there are more optional games and programs. Older kids even get to spend a night away from camp with counsellors! And when everyone's relaxed and having fun at Camp Wasaga, an amazing thing happens to families: they strengthen and renew their relationships. ❚ "I feel like I have become a kinder person and am better at making friends because of camp." "My shy, quiet nine-year-old went to camp not knowing a soul. Two weeks later, she came home transformed. She blossomed. She made friends, learned a multitude of activities, felt safe, loved, confident and happy — really, really happy. As hard as it was on me, it was all worth it for her. It was the single best thing I have ever done for her." "The other part of camp that has influenced me the most is the simple idea of trying to always smile." "Camp has helped me appreciate nature and the outdoors a lot more than I think I would have if I didn't go. I can go without my phone or connection to social media for a while, because camp has shown me that amazing stuff happens when you put your phone down and have a nice conversation with someone." "Camp has made me into a leader, having the best role models as my counsellors to look up to." "Going to camp has made me even more independent and a much better people- person. I am able to go confidently up to someone and introduce myself, or hang out with someone new because of my time at camp." "Camp makes me happy and nothing can prepare me for life as well as this environment." — Manitoba Camping Association Why let your kids have all the fun?
