Maric Homes is proud to share a significant anniversary with the MHBA, as 2012 marks our 25th year as a member and our 40th year building homes in Manitoba. The MHBA has been key in the growth of both Maric Homes as an industry leader and Manitoba homebuilding at large. Working actively with the government at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels, the MHBA has cultivated fruitful relationships with policymakers to promote Manitoba homebuilder's positions on issues ranging from taxes to energy efficiency to health and safety. With their efforts, the MHBA has played a significant role in the advancement of Manitoba's homebuilding industry to the forefront of the nation and the world. Manitoba's Parade of Homes is one of the most significant contributions the MHBA has made to our industry. Creating the Parade allowed prospective home buyers a look at what builders have to offer and granted builders like Maric Homes the perfect arena to connect with the community at a broad level. For our firm, it was the perfect stage to share our distinct building and design philosophy. The connection was immediate and proved to be lasting – Maric Homes is proud to have won multiple awards across a wide range of categories, a reflection of the public's positive reception of our idea of what is possible when building a home. Manitoba's perception and relationship with new homes hasn't been the same since, with the Parade drawing thousands of visitors and allowing countless families to begin the process of building a new home with the most important ingredient – a dream. Another MHBA initiative, the Master Builder program, helped identify companies who were committed to constructing homes without compromise. The Master Builder program spoke to members that sought to innovate technically and technologically, engage in sound financial practices, and provide the highest customer service. Maric Homes was among the first group of builders to become Master Builder certified, a distinction we proudly hold to this day. Being an active member of the MHBA has allowed Maric Homes to grow and become a recognized brand in Manitoba.
