Start out the holidays with the classic A Beachcombers Christmas on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, bring the whole fam- ily together for the coming-of-age tale of a First Nations teenager trying to find his place in the modern world in The Lesser Blessed. Speed things up into the New Year with the action packed Speed 2: Cruise Control on New Year's Eve, followed by the mysterious couple, Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Watch your favourite fishermen save Christmas by hitting the ice in this made- for-tv Christmas special. A Beachcombers Christmas will be sure to have the whole family laughing, as the Beachcombers go up against ex-pro players in order to raise money and save Christmas for the town. Will these fishermen be able to hold their own against the celebrity hockey players? Tune in on Christmas Eve to find out. A Beachcombers Christmas broadcasts December 24 at 8:00 p.m. (MT) on aptn w. Based on the novel by Richard Van Camp, The Lesser Blessed is a coming-of-age story of a young First Nations boy and the trial and tribulations of life in a remote community in the Northwest Territories. Larry Sole is an angry teenager trying to find his place in the modern world, amid racial tensions and the recklessness of youth, haunted by his dark past. The Lesser Blessed broadcasts Decem- ber 25 at 7:30 p.m. (MT) on aptn w. Annie and her boyfriend take a vacation in the Caribbean aboard a cruise ship, to get away from their dangerous lives as police officers. To their surprise, the cruise ship gets hijacked. Can the couple save the ship from its horrible fate? Speed 2: Cruise Control broadcasts De- cember 31 at 8:30 p.m. (MT) on aptn w. John and Jane Smith may seem like an ordinary suburban couple with a stagnate marriage, but they are holding a big secret from each other. They are both legendary assassins in competing organizations. When their secret is exposed, their lives become anything but ordinary.
