like a small thing, but when you're in a more natural setting,
you just get a homier feel, with the wide-open spaces, prairie
or river vistas, and the calm, quiet ambience. Communities
like La Salle, Stonewall and Dugald are relaxing places to live."
Element Realty's Monica kessler, who specializes in selling
homes outside the city, says the commute to and from door-
step communities is also more relaxing.
"There's just less city driving to deal with when you live out-
side the city," she says. "Even though there's more distance to
cover, it's highway driving. It's far more relaxing just because
you don't have to deal with negotiating slow city traffic on
your way home from work five days a week."
The recent extension of kenaston Boulevard out to the Pe-
rimeter Highway also makes the commute smoother for
those choosing to live in communities such as La Salle or Oak
Bluff West.
