>> For people searching for a neighbourhood with something extra, Sage Creek hits the mark. That's because it provides residents with so much more than just a fantastic new home to live in: there's a whole community to experience. Bursting with energy and life, and designed to support people in creating a more active lifestyle, it's a place one really has to experience to understand just how much there is to do within Sage Creek. "Sage Creek continues in stride, and we are seeing a tremendous amount of growth not only in the number of new homes and residents, but also in the new business and services we've attracted to the Village Centre," says Eric Vogan of Qualico Communities. With a market style Sobeys, Shoppers Drug Mart and a Liquor Mart as anchors, Sage Creek's vibrant Village Centre conveniently greets residents and visitors as they enter the community from Lagimodiere Boulevard. It provides a host of appealing shopping, dining and lifestyle services for families here. "There's a small town feel here. This area has developed into a place where residents don't have far to go to have access to whatever they need," says Vogan. "The offerings are unique enough to draw people from neighbouring communities as well, which is adding to the positive buzz." Randall Homes has been building homes in Sage Creek since its inception, and Vice President Jason Jaquet has been on hand to witness the community evolve. He feels it's different from what's being done in other parts of the city. "YOU'vE GOT EvErYTHInG HErE AnD THAT'S APPEAlInG TO PEOPlE BECAUSE OF THE COnvEnIEnCE," SAYS jAqUET. "YOU'rE ABlE TO GO FrOm YOUr HOUSE Or TOWnHOmE AnD WAlk TO THE vIllAGE CEnTrE TO GO TO THE rESTAUrAnTS AnD DO A FAIr BIT OF YOUr SHOPPInG." new additions to the Village Centre like Rock- wood urban Grill, Freshii and Marquis Dance Academy have recently joined Hiro Sushi, Pet Valu and Orangetheory Fitness, and other es- tablished businesses. Annie Clark, who has lived in Sage Creek for over five years, was initially drawn by the com- prehensive vision for the area. Today, she appre- ciates the depth of amenities available as well as the sense of community she has discovered. "I joined Orangetheory Fitness and I'm meet- ing a ton of new people there from around the area. Plus, I love the workouts," says Clark. "There is everything here now and it's rare that I have to leave Sage Creek to go get something." A wide range of home styles and housing op- tions in Sage Creek ensures that the possibili- ties for buyers are just as distinct as the neigh- bourhood. This community can accommodate the lifestyle preferences and aspirations of any prospective homeowner. "Whether you want to spend $300,000 or a mil- lion dollars, there are a lot of different types and sizes of homes here to buy," says Jaquet. "The price points that are in Sage Creek appeal to a lot of people so everyone can afford to live here." Sage Creek, now in Phase 7, has more than 1,500 families living in single- and multi-family homes like apartments and condominiums. Currently, plans are being discussed to incor- porate a 55+ living complex adjacent to the Village Centre. This would provide seniors with easy access on foot to shops, services and res- taurants, as well as the scenic trails and natural- ized wetlands – one of Sage Creek's signature features. "It's just a really nice, tight community and with all the diversity of the different home styles and price levels Qualico Communities has incorpo- rated here, it works really well," explains Jaquet.
