he says.

rade entry, in 1993, won a gold award with a new feature that's now ubiqui
tous in show homes — the great room.
"it was really interesting watching people walk through the house," he says.
"All of a sudden they'd pause and you could see that they were counting
rooms and going, 'Where's the living room?' "
