Aisles of sleek runabouts, well- equipped fishing boats and innovative docks can light up visitors' eyes and make them dream of time on the water. That will definitely be the case at the 2017 Mid-Canada Boat Show March 2-5 at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg. "It's the best time to buy a boat," says show manager Dave Amey. Anyone who purchases a boat gets to spin a wheel to win a prize, which includes a fly-in fishing weekend. The names of boat buyers will also be entered into a draw and one lucky person will win $5,000 off the purchase price, with a chance to double that. The Hook and Bullet Show, a display area within the boat show, is dedicated to hunting and fishing in support of the Manitoba Wildlife Federation. The boat show runs 3-9 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday. Ladies get in free opening day. Saturday hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 and children under 13 get in free with an adult.
