28 WHERE'S THE PARTY? Falcon Trails Snow Dance Festival: (www.falconridgeski.com) Not all winter festivals are rooted in history. The Snow Dance music fest at the Falcon Ridge Ski Chalet got its start last year when resort workers pooled their considerable musical talents, mostly as a means of invigorating what to that point had been a dismal season. The event set a day's worth of snowboarding, downhill and cross-country skiing against a soundtrack of roots and bluegrass tunes from the likes of Bog River, the Crooked Brothers and Oh My Darling. Visit www.falconridgeski.com for dates and info on this years festival. Northern Manitoba Trappers' Festival: (www.trappersfestival.com) Feb. 13-17, 2013. This year's Trappers' Fest celebrated the centennial of The Pas, and the festival itself dates back almost as far, to 1916. Celebrate the spirit of the northern pioneers by taking part in world championship dog races, plus canoe packing, trap setting, moose calling and more. MANITO AHBEE FESTIVAL A C TIVITIES Clear the Hurdles! Royal Manitoba Winter Fair Joie de Vivre at Festival du Voyageur!
