Manitoba Star Attractions are "must-see" destinations that attract large numbers of visitors. Each of the 50+ designated Star Attractions is a proven winner with visitors, is easily accessible year-round, and offers a unique and memorable tourism experience. Star Attractions are marked with special signage in Winnipeg and beyond, and include major culture/ heritage spots, natural features/outdoor attractions, and other key destinations that meet certain criteria specified by the Government of Manitoba.

ASSINIBOIA DOWNS Something for everyone! Live thoroughbred racing from May through to September. The Downs offer plenty of fun including simulcast (televised) racing from major tracks worldwide and the Club West Gaming Lounge featuring 140 Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) in a casino-like atmosphere. Assiniboia Downs is open every day except Christmas Day!
Family Fun Days can be enjoyed during afternoon race cards where children of all ages can enjoy a petting farm, and youngsters can ride a pony or bounce in the inflatable gyms all for FREE.
Feast in the Terrace Dining Room with its view of the track or savour a delicious hot dog while taking in the sites. Admission and parking are free.
