ST AR A T TR A C TION S As you move north through the park on PR 307 and 309, you are treated to miles of scenic beauty dotted with cosy resorts, campgrounds and peaceful picnic areas. The border towns of Rennie on Hwy. 44 and Seven Sisters on PR 307 offer a full line of services such as grocery stores, gas stations, hotels, motels and restaurants. At 115 m, West Hawk Lake on Hwy. 44, is the deepest in Manitoba. A meteorite is believed to have created the crater which eventually became a lake. This meteor impact site is one of those listed as a World Terrestrial Impact Structure. The falls can be reached by car from the White Lake Resort access road. Wheelchair accessible, fishing platform and washroom. location: White Lake off PR 307, White Lake Resort West Hawk Museum has displays of geological interest including the history of the formation of West Hawk Lake as well as other interesting facts unique to the area. Open daily mid-May to September long weekend 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. location: West Hawk Lake Campground Office At the Whiteshell Fish Hatchery, trout, walleye and other species such as sturgeon are raised to replenish lake stock. Interpretive exhibits showcase information about fish biology and management.
