C an you imagine a husband and wife working together day in and day out and then going home together still smiling and happy to be a team? Can it really be done? Well, television hosts Marc and Mandy Atiyolil are doing it. The Marc and Mandy Show is filmed across North America but its studio is located in Blumenort. Marc was born in Winnipeg, and Mandy in Sydney, N.S. Together, they have an easy, lighthearted and fun dynamic. Whether it's trending in home decor, an unusual new recipe, everything you've always wanted to know about cats or dogs, or plumbing, lighting, health and beauty, fashion, family and relationships, intimacy, or any num- ber of other topics, there's an excellent chance it's cov- ered or will be covered on the Marc and Mandy Show. "We started working together after we were engaged. Marc was producing an online show and decided that it would be fun for us to work together as co-hosts. We've been filming together ever since," Mandy says. "When it comes to choosing a co-host, you have to choose someone with whom you have chemistry and when it comes to chemistry and banter, the love of your life is an easy choice," Marc adds. The couple, parents of a daughter and another baby on the way, recently celebrated five years of marriage. Their ease with each other appeals to the viewers and their increasing fan base. "People often come up to me and say, 'I don't know how you work with your husband, I would never be able to work with mine,' but for us, it works. Being able to work alongside each other is a lot of fun," Mandy says. "We can't imagine NOT working together," Marc exclaims. The highly animated duo has produced countless informative shows and videos covering a broad range of topics. Providing quality information for viewers while entertaining them is a trademark of the show. The Marc and Mandy website features videos and arti- cles offering readers and viewers knowledge and skills on everything from table decor and centrepieces to dealing with teenage addiction and home renovations. "We have always wanted our message to be one of empowerment and giving people the tools to make their lives better," Marc says. "We've worked in media for years, Marc especially," Mandy adds. "It was a fairly natural transition of taking those experiences and connections and building the Marc and Mandy Show. We feel so honoured to have fans all across North America, but those here in our home base in Manitoba are definitely close to our hearts. We can never thank them enough for the support they've shown us these last few years." The couple's excitement grows as the show con- tinues to expand at a fast pace, now airing not only on stations across Canada, but also syndicated as a daily TV show in the U.S. "We are constantly working to better our produc- tion and expand our reach. We couldn't do what we do without the phenomenal support of our team. It's a joint effort of some really wonderful minds. With Marc also being the editor of Canadian Home Trends Magazine, we've had the pleasure of working with ce- lebrity designers and professionals for years now, and we love having their expertise as part of our program- ming," explains Mandy. "The wonderful thing about our interests is that they complement each other. I love cooking, beauty, health and wellness, and fashion," she says. "I love interior design, DIY projects, celebrity in- terests, life coaching, and anything funny!" adds Marc with a hearty laugh. The show has come to be well known for highlight- ing the couple's playful spousal banter and humour. Their upbeat chats, interviews and blogs feature a world of information and make it accessible to everyone. In Manitoba, the show airs Saturday mornings on Global Winnipeg at 10:30 a.m. Visit marcandmandy. com for local listings in your area or watch on demand.
