20 who's who WEDDINGS Weddings HAIR & MAKEUP There is a lot going on when it's time for you to say "I do." You need to trust in hair and makeup professionals who will make sure you look exactly as beautiful as you feel when you finally say the words. Like most modern brides, all of our shoots featured a 'natural look' on our models. Sticking to elegant, seemingly natural looks means accentuating your innate beauty, and having wedding photos that stand the test of time. Sarah Brooker, from 2 Chicks and a Bag of Makeup, talks about her approach to the Little Brown Jug shoot and our cover shoot, both featuring model Aine Lambert "Brides love a natural makeup, something that accentuates their features without looking too overdone or leaving them with a makeup that feels heavy. For this shoot, I went with more of a matte palette to still offer a bit of drama but staying away from the high shimmers. I also kept it in the burgundy tones, which really helps eye colours take centre stage in photos. And then, of course, false lashes are always a must. The final touch can be a punch of colour on the lips, or else keep it soft and neutral, both lip colours tie the look together so beautifully. " — Sarah Brooker of 2 Chicks and a Bag of Makeup Bobbi Tanguay, of Primped and Polished Makeup, focuses on the longevity of the makeup — a must in our Taking The Plunge shoot — and on achieving the glowing, radiant skin every bride wants. "I like to use a water-based primer for staying power and a full coverage foundation with a luminous, dewy glow. I think it's super important to use a product that isn't harsh on the skin but will last all day. I contoured her face with a powder and bronzed her skin, and followed with a highlight. Elegance is always my goal. I always say less is more. On her lips I always like to use a pink hue — it's more youthful and pretty. On the eyes, I used warm pinks and orange hues to make her eyes look sultry and flirty and followed with waterproof mascara." — Bobbi Tanguay, of Primped and Polished Makeup OUR SHOOTS FEATURED WORK BY: 2 Chicks and a Bag of Makeup La Estetica Beauty Primped & Polished Salon in Motion MADE UP Naturally "Brides love a natural makeup, something that accentuates their features without looking too overdone or leaving them with a makeup that feels heavy"
