HOME EVOLUTION Cont'd from page 10 Cont'd on page 14 995 Milt Stegall Drive | Winnipeg, MB 204) 784-0099 | 1-866-870-1292 | www.robinsonlightingcentre.ca There's no one-size-fits-all solution, but recently Randall Homes introduced a collection of expandable homes, with larger windows, greater ceiling heights and more open spaces in lower levels to allow homeowners to add extra bedrooms or family rooms. "We've designed it so that the lower level is more functional for you in the home and you can decide how to use it," says Randall vice-president Jason Jaquet, whose father, Randy, founded the company in 1983. "We're always evolving and changing our models and our homes to suit the needs of the buying public." The MHBA's founders — Frank Lount, Henry Borg er, Walter Senicki, Henry Pehrson, Frank Mager and A. W. Hagg — would be astounded to see just how much new homes have evolved since their day, with gyms, sprawling master en suites, massive windows, great rooms and wide-open kitchens with islands and acres of storage space. Even young second-generation builders like Jaquet and siblings Tanya and Peri Maric, whose parents Steve and Cathie launched Maric Homes in 1973, have seen vast improvements in design, energy efficiency and green building in their time, along with a surge in internet connectivity for everything from lights and entertainment systems to kitchen appliances. WE'RE ALWAYS EVOLVING AND CHANGING OUR MODELS AND OUR HOMES TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF THE BUYING PUBLIC. 12 Parade of Homes FALL 2017
