EVOLUTION
BUILDERS CONSTANTLY ADAPT
TO CHANGING LANDSCAPE
Cont'd on page 8
WHEN THE MANITOBA
HOME BUILDERS'
ASSOCIATION (MHBA)
WAS FORMED IN 1937, one
Canadian family looked pretty much like
the next — it was made up of one mom,
one dad, and a growing brood of kids.
The typical new single-family home
was just as homogenous. It had one
bathroom, often right next to the
kitchen to minimize plumbing needs, a
separate living room and two or three
modestly sized bedrooms with compact
closet space.
